Opera North Chamber Choir win GOLD at World Choir Games
Two local choirs entered the World Choir Games held in Auckland in July. The Adult choir – Opera North Chamber Choir – won GOLD with a gospel number “I Open My Mouth To the Lord”. A video can be viewed on the Opera North Facebook page.

Meanwhile Te Korihi o te tui, comprised of children from One Tree Point, Ruakaka and Waipu, won bronze.
No doubt the whole of Bream Bay, and many from further afield, will be joining in congratulating both choirs on their remarkable success.
