Christmas Tree presentation – mid-day to 8pm, Fri 19th to Mon 23rd – at St. Peter’s Waipu

Under wraps: sneak preview, of a small portion, of one of the trees…

A variety of Bream Bay community groups are contributing Christmas Trees to a display at St. Peter’s Church at Nova Scotia Drive, Waipu. The display will open at noon on Friday 19 December. It will then open at the same time each day until Monday 23rd December, when it will close at 8pm.

To accompany their tree, each of the groups has been invited to write a statement on what Christmas means to them.

Bream Bay Anglicans held a similar exhibition two years ago. Many locals and visitors enjoyed the pretty, seasonal atmosphere. Some said it cheered them, others were delighted and some commented that it provided a place and space in which to reflect. This year there will be a ‘children’s area’ as there was last time.

Entry is by way of Koha or a donation of a can of tinned food to our foodbank (which is run out of St. Paul’s in Ruakaka.).

The wraps come off this year’s trees on Friday.
