Absolutely everyone is invited to our St Francis Day Blessing of Animals service on Sunday, 6 October, 9:30 at St Paul’s Church. This year there will be a speaker from the animal rescue charity Wandering Angels. The blessing will be held in the church hall, 25 Karawai St., Ruakaka. The only requirement is that all animals must be on lead, in cages or in bowls or tanks at all times, for obvious reasons.
If you or your children don’t have a live animal, bring much-loved stuffed ones! (They don’t need to be on a lead…) The service itself will last about 30 minutes, depending on how many of God’s creatures are there.
