The lead up to Christmas is known as Advent. The word ‘Advent’ comes from the latin word ‘adventus’ meaning ‘coming’ or arrival’. Advent is a time to prepare for Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus, and there is much to enjoy and engage with at the Anglican Church in Bream Bay. We look forward to greeting each other at Church Services and, also, at FOTO events.
ADVENT STUDY: THE WAITING TIME
The Auckland Diocese has made an Advent Study developed by the Diocese of Waiapu’s Ministry Educator available. It is called “The Waiting Time” . The resource provides a useful structure and guidance to those interested in consciously preparing. DOWNLOAD IT here.
